Whole Foods weight loss shakes ‘perfect for busy mums’ that ‘tastes like a holiday’

Must read

For those trying to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle, the influx of information about supplements, protein shakes, meals-in-a-bottle and more can be overwhelming. When it comes to protein, however, it’s important to remember that it is one of the major components of a healthy, functional body and can help people stay fuller for longer – which will naturally help with weight loss – along with other health benefits such as both health and digestion.

That said, it can be difficult for people to hit their protein goals. Busy lives mean may find themselves snacking on foods like chocolate and crisps which, while convenient when on the go, aren’t actually going to keep them satisfied and can cause issues such as feeling bloated or sluggish.

However, there are plenty of products on the market that make hitting protein goals easier, even when people don’t have access to a kitchen to whip up some chicken and rice: Daily Shake, for example, offers loads of flavours of protein shakes and is now available after selling out at Whole Foods UK and Supercare Pharmacies in Dubai.

The Daily Shake is described as Australia’s tastiest health shake after going viral online. Often, protein shakes aren’t the nicest drink to chug down, but these shakes are available in a number of flavours including chocolate souffle, whipped coffee, mango, strawberry cheesecake and even baklava – meaning shoppers can actually enjoy themselves while hitting their fitness and wellbeing goals.

The jar of protein mix, which is now available for £36, offers up to 10 servings and has a high 23-26 grams of faba and pea protein in each 203-calorie shake. It also has a blend of 27 vitamins and minerals to support overall health and is designed to enhance energy levels, boost immunity and promote healthy skin, hair and nails with zinc and vitamin C elements.

You can pick up the Daily Shake Weight Loss Starter on their website.

Alternatively, Daily Shake offers the Weight Loss Starter Pack, which includes 20 Sachets (two each of the 10 flavours), as well as a 400ml shaker and an electric mixer. Originally costing £106, it’s now down to £83.

The Daily Shake is also said to help with bloating, as it has added biotin which supports natural collagen production – a digestive enzyme blend to help de-bloat. It has zero added sugar, is an all-natural, non-GMO shake and completely vegan and dairy free. To prepare the shake, simply add two scoops of the powder to 300ml of water and shake well.

If shoppers aren’t feeling totally aligned with this shake, they could try a cheaper option with the Slimfast Cafe Latte Powder for £8 from Superdrug. This shake comes in a 584 gram box, features 23 vitamins and minerals, is high in protein and a great source of fibre. It can also give up to 16 servings to buyers.

Another option could be the Protein Meal Replacement Blend for £8.99 from MyProtein for anyone who wants to replace meals with a 200 calorie shake that contains 17g of high-quality protein. The flavours come in vanilla, banana, chocolate, salted caramel and strawberry in a 500 gram bag.

However, the Daily Shake went viral for a reason, and shoppers have shared their thoughts on the brands website. One shopper said: “Loving all the options as a busy mum!”

Another wrote: “I love this flavour. It tastes like vacation and keeps me full all morning! I will definitely be ordering more.”

“My Daily Shake gets me up in the morning and ready to go. I love the taste and that the ingredients – especially the MCT – gives me the energy I need to sustain myself during everyday exercise as well as my weekly paddle tournaments! The sachets make it super easy for me to take to the pool for after laps or to the Padel courts and gym!” said another buyer.

Not everyone was a fan of the Daily Shake, however, and some shared opposing views. One customer said: “The protein shake flavour is a bit powdery despite shaking it for over one minute and the shake becoming smooth, but I can still make out a bit of the intended flavours.”

Another said: “The subtlety works for some of these but I would have preferred a stronger flavour profile on some!”

For a product that has gone viral and is now back in stock across UK shops and online however, the Daily Shake could be a tasty and healthy option to try.
