Paul Juzkow and Jimmy Curry are avid fans who have made it a tradition to attend every Grey Cup game for over 15 years. Despite not having tickets in hand upon arrival at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg for this Sunday’s match between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Alouettes, the duo is confident they will secure entry when the game commences.

Since 2008, the Vancouver-based pals have journeyed across Canada to partake in the Grey Cup festivities. Armed with a sign pleading for complimentary tickets, they have successfully gained access to numerous games through generous offers or last-minute discounted purchases.

Their trusty sign has not only granted them admittance but has also facilitated numerous interactions with fellow football enthusiasts in host cities over the years. In Winnipeg alone, Juzkow shared that they have already connected with a multitude of individuals, enriching their Grey Cup experience.

Josh and Nathan Siemens, brothers and ardent supporters of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, have secured their spots at the upcoming game. Despite the intense rivalry between their team and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Nathan expressed his desire to witness a victory on the Bombers’ home turf, considering it almost as gratifying as winning at their home stadium in Regina.

The Siemens brothers noted the warm reception they have received from Bomber fans since their arrival in Winnipeg, emphasizing the overall friendliness and hospitality of the city’s residents. They are eagerly anticipating the game and the unique atmosphere that the Grey Cup weekend offers, echoing sentiments of camaraderie and shared passion for Canadian football.

For Kyle Dunn of Surrey, B.C., attending the Grey Cup has become an annual tradition spanning 23 years. With his partner Heather Smith joining in on the excitement for her second Grey Cup experience, Dunn highlighted the event’s vibrant ambiance and the sense of community among fans. Despite his team not contending for the championship this year, Dunn is hoping for an exhilarating game that keeps spectators on the edge of their seats until the final seconds.

As the 112th Grey Cup approaches, fans like Juzkow, Curry, the Siemens brothers, and Dunn are gearing up for a weekend filled with football fervor, camaraderie, and the thrill of witnessing the pinnacle of Canadian football competition.
