Tuesday marks Remembrance Day, potentially leading to closures or adjusted hours at various government offices and businesses. While regular curbside collection remains unaffected, it is essential for residents to place items at the curb by 7 a.m. Grand River Transit will maintain its regular schedule but will observe a moment of pause at 11 a.m.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be no LRT service between Grand River Hospital and Mill Stations. Instead, shuttle buses will transport passengers to LRT stops every 15 minutes. Additionally, bus routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 16, 20, 55, 57, 77, 203, and 204 will be on detour during Remembrance Day ceremonies. Transit customer service centers will not be operational on this day.
In terms of other closures and operations:
