Hockey Canada revealed the official Olympic hockey uniforms for the upcoming Milan-Cortina Games. The jerseys will be worn by the men’s, women’s, and Para teams representing Canada. Athletes from these teams will have a choice between two uniform options – a white jersey featuring a red maple leaf and a red jersey with a black maple leaf.
The maple leaf crests on the jerseys have a multi-tone design resembling a diamond, symbolizing the athletes’ resilience under immense pressure. Hockey Canada’s CEO, Katherine Henderson, emphasized that the jerseys embody the essence of Canadian hockey and the unwavering support of fans during competitions.
The unveiling of the jerseys, designed by Nike, took place during the intermission of the Rivalry Series game between Canada and the U.S. David Shoemaker, the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee, highlighted that the jerseys not only represent a uniform but also showcase the rich history and pride of Canada’s Olympic hockey legacy.
The women’s team will kick off their gold medal defense on February 5, a day before the opening ceremony. For the men’s team, this Olympics marks the return of NHL players since their last gold medal victory at the 2014 Sochi Games. Their first game is scheduled for February 12. The Para hockey tournament is set to begin on March 6, adding to the excitement of the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
