Hudson River helicopter crash: Bird strike examined as possible cause of tragedy

Must read

A bird strike may have been responsible for the tragic deaths of a family of five and pilot in a horror helicopter crash in a major river.

A helicopter pilot and family of five Spanish tourists, including three children, died in the tragic crash on the Hudson river at around 3.17pm on April 10.

Parents Agustin Escobar and Merce Camprubi Montal had booked the helicopter aead of their eight-year-old child’s upcoming birthday.

The family died alongside their pilot, who has been named as 36-year-old Seankese Johnson by the Jersey City Mayor’s office.

Witnesses of the horrifying accident said they saw the helicopter “straight up drop” into the murky waters of New York City’s largest river.
