Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) top adviser highlighted the perceived weakness of the American military during the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel. In an interview, Brig.-Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi stated that Iran has not achieved its final objective in the war but expressed confidence in future victories. Naqdi emphasized the importance of gaining experience through the prolonged conflict, noting the perceived weaknesses of the American military. Despite the challenges, Naqdi affirmed Iran’s resolve and determination to continue the fight.
In related efforts to resume peace negotiations, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Interior Minister engaged with Iranian officials to address the stalemate in talks. The discussions have been hindered by disagreements over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route for global oil supplies. The U.S. accused Iran of failing to uphold its commitments, while Iran countered with accusations of unmet obligations by Washington.
The conflict has resulted in numerous casualties and widespread destruction in Iran and other affected regions. Both Iran and the U.S. have intensified their rhetoric in recent days, with Iran’s security official asserting that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed unless specific conditions were met, while President Trump demanded compensation from Iran for past actions.
