The Mount Dennis train station was officially inaugurated for GO and UP Express services on Sunday. Situated on Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive, the station provides access to TTC bus services and the Kitchener GO line, serving as a stop for the UP Express train as well.

Metrolinx has announced that regular Kitchener GO train services will stop at Mount Dennis station every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends. Traveling on the UP Express train from Mount Dennis to Union Station will take approximately 16 minutes, according to information from Metrolinx’s website.

In the future, Mount Dennis station is anticipated to be the western terminus of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line once it becomes operational. The Eglinton LRT project, which commenced construction in 2011 with an initial plan to open in 2020, has faced multiple delays in its launch.
