Celebrity Big Brother’s Danny Beard took a swipe at Chris Hughes after game playing claims surfaced. The two of them appeared on Late and Live finale special on Friday night after Jack P Shepherd was crowned the winner of 2025’s series.
The episode wasn’t quite a love- in with Danny making a sarcastic comment towards the Love Island star suggesting he only became good friends with JoJo Siwa to gain more followers. JoJo and Chris were grilled on their close friendship when Danny interjected.
Danny shouted: “You wanted more Instagram followers,” as AJ Odudu tried to sooth the reunion by saying, “He’s joking.” Chris seemed to find the remark in good humour as he compared his two million followers to JoJo’s 11.1million and said: “I could do with a few more.”

JoJo and Chris quickly became close in the Big Brother house and often confided in each other. Some fans questioned their friendship as the two of them were seen cuddling in bed and giving each other massages despite JoJo being in a public relationship outside the house.
Chris came sixth place and was immediately questioned about JoJo on his exit by AJ and co-host Will Best. He said: “JoJo was like a pure rock to me. She was someone that I could have fun with. That to me was a beautiful friendship.
“She said to me last night ‘you’re someone in my life I didn’t know I needed’, she reminded me a lot of…. The thing that fascinates me the most about her is not the things she’s done, it’s what she’s been through when she was a teenager and that’s similar to what my ex-girlfriend went through.
“Seeing how they are both similarly as… in the respect that she’s come through a lot and she’s just a purely nice person. The similarity is in the personality. How nice they are, how loving they are and how caring they are. From a friendship point of view, of course I love her.”
Chris was accused of being a gameplayer throughout his time on the series. TOWIE star Ella Rae-Wise previously explained on the show that someone close to her had warned her about Chris before going on the programme.
Olivia Attwood has since said it was her who told Ella to be aware of her ex-boyfriend who she met when they were both on Love Island together. Ella and Chris also confronted their awkward relationship while appearing on Late and Live as they discussed why they weren’t very close while in the house.
AJ asked Ella: “Why weren’t you and Chris close?” Chris quickly replied: “We weren’t not close.” However, Ella didn’t agree and said: “We weren’t close at all love.” Ella then explained the reason why to Chris, saying: “I don’t know, maybe you’re just not my person.”
