Celebrity Big Brother fans have labelled Ella Rae-Wise as “mean and cruel” over her comments about Chris Hughes. The pair both appeared on Friday night’s Late and Live after the most recent series came to an end.
The TOWIE star received backlash from viewers as they called her “bitter” towards the former Love Island star. AJ Odudu and Will Best presented the talk show as they tried to get to the bottom of Ella and Chris’ feud.
The paired had seemed to address the awkwardness between them in the Big Brother house but Friday’s show seemed that the two still had issues with one another. Host AJ asked Ella: “Why weren’t you and Chris close?”

Before Ella could answer, Chris interjected: “We weren’t not close.” But, Ella disagreed and said: “We weren’t close at all love.” As AJ tried to get to the bottom of the awkward relationship, Ella simply explained to Chris: “I don’t know, maybe you’re just not my person.”
Fans of the show took to X to complain about Ella, with one saying: “Ella staying bitter till the very end I see #CBBUK.” As another added: “I’m so glad Ella will no longer be on my screen, mean & spiteful x #CBBLL #CBB #CBBUK.”
“Ella still salty as ever and none of us are any closer to figuring out what Chris has actually done to her ever hahaha #CBBUK,” a third wrote. With another saying: “Ella is such bad vibes, how is she even worse OUTSIDE of the house? I thought emotions were ‘heightened’ in there but it seems that was her being nice…I hate her energy #CBBUK #CBBLL.”
Ella previously explained on the series that she had been warned by outside sources about Chris. Since then, Olivia Attwood, who was previously in a relationship with him, admitted it was her who spoke to Ella.
Olivia took to her TikTok page to share a clip where she said that “the therapy dealing with him was expensive”. Olivia said: “The therapy was expensive, it was time consuming, and now I’m going to have to go back for another round, because I’m not watching anymore, but I’m getting trolled on this app.
“Because every weird, creepy thing that happens, I’m getting tagged in it. I haven’t opened TikTok for two days for this reason. There is two sides to every story but I guess my side, I told Ella when I was on TOWIE, just to give some context of the situation of what she knows.
“Some people, very few people, go on reality TV and they are 100 per cent themselves – the good, the bad, the ugly – they are the same on or off camera.”
