Jojo Siwa reportedly shared a private moment with her Australian girlfriend, Kath Ebbs, following recent speculation about the state of their relationship.
Rumours began swirling after the 21-year-old Dance Moms alum appeared to grow close to Love Island star Chris Hughes, 32, during their time together in the Big Brother house, leading some viewers to question Jojo’s romantic intentions.
Throughout the early days of the show, Kath, 27, remained supportive and publicly defended their relationship, especially after Jojo was subjected to homophobic comments from fellow housemate Mickey Rouche. However, she appeared ‘distant’ in recent days. Now, with Jojo out of the house, the couple has reunited.
After JoJo was placed third in Celebrity Big Brother, fans were quick to notice that her loved ones were absent from the audience during the finale. Addressing the speculation, Siwa’s mum Jessalynn took to TikTok and Instagram to reassure fans that Kath had come to see Jojo but away from the cameras. She wrote: “I can finally tell you all Kath is there in London with JoJo and they just didn’t want their reunion on camera – so it was private off camera.
“For those extra worried …I would have been there in a heartbeat but JoJo wanted her girlfriend there not her mommy. all good troops, all good, I promise 🙂 Love Dance Mom Jess.”
Kath didn’t show up on stage with JoJo, and apparently they told Big Brother producers they didn’t want to be photographed or seen at all during the finale.
A source told The Sun: “Kath has surprised everyone by coming to meet JoJo when she leaves the house tonight, but [they] gave Celebrity Big Brother bosses strict orders that [they] wont be in any camera shots – filmed or still camera – nothing. [They’re] stressed and has demanded [they] remain backstage out of sight.”
After the housemates got letters from home as part of a recent challenge, fans speculated on what they thought was a subtle hint in JoJo’s message, specifically, a few seemingly distant words from her partner. The letter, read aloud by Chris, was mostly written by JoJo’s mum, Jessalynn, but also included a short, noticeably cooler message from Kath.
It read: “The most important thing to tell you is a message from Kath because I know you really miss them the most. Kath’s “keen to see you when you get out”.
Fans were left baffled, as they took to X to write: “The stark difference in JoJo’s letter compared to the others.” Another person chimed in: “JoJo’s letter from home ‘You’re Dumped’.” A third said: “’JoJo’s letter was a THREAT.”
Kath hasn’t been posting to her social media recently, revolving around the drama with her girlfriend and Chris. Whale she hasn’t deleted her accounts, the actress barely posted recently and hasn’t said much about JoJo’s activities. This has left fans wondering how she feels about JoJo getting close to Celebrity Big Brother contestant Chris.
The couple has been together since 2024, following JoJo’s breakup with ex Savannah Demers. Recently, the TikTok star has been more open about her sexuality in the Big Brother house, revealing that she identifies as queer rather than lesbian following her close bond with Chris.
