Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Teddy Magic’s impressive talent goes way beyond his years – despite his ITV audition being his first time on stage.
The Kent-based youngster blew the judges away as he magically took the fizz out of a shaken up orange drink before magically making a champagne bottle pop with out touching it. His impressive act blew away the judges and the audience at Blackpool, receiving a standing ovation from all those in the Winter Gardens.
After his jaw-dropping audition, KSI told the little boy: “Teddy, I’m just in awe of what I’ve just seen. It’s incredible, you’re so confident. You’re already a star at your age and I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. That was amazing,” Teddy smiled.
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell remarked: “Teddy, you’re so funny and you were telling me off the whole way through! I have no idea, genuinely, how this happened. I would like to be the first person who gives you a yes because you have got a massive career ahead of you and you have magic powers.”
Teddy is now through to the semi-finals. But, just how old is the young blossoming magician? In his audition, as he introduced himself, Teddy revealed he was just eight years old.
Judges Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden were both stunned over the youngster’s age. Alesha told the boy: “I think that there’s an adult trapped in an eight year old’s body. It’s fantastic and you should be really proud of yourself.”
While Amanda added: “I cannot believe you are eight years old. Honestly, the whole thing was absolutely fantastic.” Fans online were also in awe of Teddy’s talent as one said: “Teddy should have got the Golden Buzzer – 8 years old and a real talent”.
Another added: “That was simply astonishing. 8 yrs old and already master craftsmen. Congrats, Teddy, on that spectacular performance. #BGT #TeddyMagic”.
Since his incredible audition, Teddy has revealed how he felt about his cool demeanour. Teddy told KentOnline: “I stood on the stage, I was fine, I don’t know why.
“I wasn’t nervous and it was really cool seeing all the people lined up in perfect rows.”
Teddy also revealed his interest in magic started around four years ago, with him first performing a trick when they were waiting for a delayed flight and trying to pass the time. As they found a toy shop, Teddy saw a magic set which had three tricks to learn.
He revealed: “I learnt it, mastered it and then I showed my family and they really liked it.
“I bought some more and then I started showing my friends and my family. Then I started my YouTube which has eight videos now.” He added: “I actually really like entertaining and all my hobbies are entertainment.”
Teddy joins the first set of semi-finalists who will compete for a spot in the final in this Saturday’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent. The semi-finalists taking part in the first live episode alongside Teddy are Heavysaurus, Vinnie McKee, The Blackouts, Akira, Linda Mudzenda, Eden Choi and Auzzy Blood.
