Natalie Harp, a 35-year-old special assistant and executive assistant to the president, has been a constant presence by Trump’s side both in the Oval Office and during his travels. She has been described as an essential aide to Trump since 2022, providing crucial support and acting as an extra set of eyes and ears for the president, according to Sen. John Barrasso.
Harp, who originally connected with Trump in 2019 after praising him for a law benefiting cancer patients, has been commended for her unwavering loyalty to the president. She has established a mobile office that travels with Trump, equipped with a mobile printer for immediate document access.
The recent attention on Harp stems from remarks made by Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff during a campaign event, where he suggested that Trump prefers leisure activities over his presidential duties, specifically mentioning Harp and Air Force One. In response, Trump dismissed Ossoff’s comments, referring to him as “Pee-wee Herman” and prioritizing the White House renovations.
Following the exchange, White House communications director Steven Cheung criticized Ossoff, labeling him as the “biggest loser” in politics. The incident has sparked a debate, with some accusing Ossoff of sexism and insensitivity towards Harp’s health history. Despite the controversy, there is no evidence to support any inappropriate relationship between Harp and Trump.
