The Regina Police Service is currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased man in a residence on 12th Avenue in the early hours of Saturday. Law enforcement officers responded to a call at a residence on the 1000 block of 12th Avenue just before 1 a.m. Upon their arrival, they located the deceased individual inside the home, as per a news release issued on Saturday.
The vicinity was cordoned off, and specialized units such as the major crime and forensic identification teams were summoned to provide assistance. Police tape surrounded the property at 1000 12th Ave., situated at the intersection of Winnipeg Street, during the early hours of Saturday afternoon. Police vehicles, including a forensic identification van, were present outside the residence.
According to the Regina police, the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, and no further information is available at this time. The identity and age of the deceased individual have not been disclosed, and it is yet to be determined if the death is being treated as suspicious.
