Male Suspect Arrested in Catholic School Vandalism

One individual has been arrested in connection with the recent vandalism at a Catholic high school in Whitehorse. The Yukon’s Education department reported that St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Secondary School suffered damage to 72 windows and doors on October 5th. According to the Whitehorse RCMP, the vandalism occurred between 4 and 6 a.m. on that Sunday.

The police have charged a male suspect from Whitehorse with mischief exceeding $5,000 and possession of a weapon with intent to commit an offense. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on December 1.
