The Grand Theatre in London is welcoming locals to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Arendelle this festive season with the arrival of Disney’s “Frozen: The Broadway Musical” on the Spriet Stage starting this Friday. Due to high demand for tickets, the show’s run has been extended until January 4.

Rachel Peake, the Grand’s artistic director and the director of “Frozen,” expressed excitement about the production, highlighting its grandeur in beauty, music, puppets, and comedy, describing it as a magical theatrical experience. Alongside the iconic songs and elaborate staging, attention is drawn to four young talents from London and nearby areas taking on pivotal roles in the musical.

The roles of young Anna and young Elsa are double-cast to accommodate the demanding schedule, with Harmony Holder from Toronto, Oakan Oyafuso from Stratford, Alba Evora Weiler from St. Marys, and London’s own Kylie Prouty sharing the spotlight. Each young performer shared their enthusiasm for being part of such a renowned story, expressing surreal yet thrilling sentiments.

Reflecting on the enduring message of the story, the young actors emphasized the theme of sisterly love as a standout feature of “Frozen,” distinguishing it from traditional fairy tales. For Kylie Prouty, a budding talent with a family background in theatre, this role represents a significant milestone in her young career. She expressed joy in working with a talented ensemble and described the rehearsal process as enjoyable and fulfilling.
