Montreal Canadiens player Kirby Dach will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks due to a fractured foot, as confirmed by the team on Sunday. To fill the gap, the team has brought up Joshua Roy from the Laval Rocket, its American Hockey League affiliate.
This injury adds to a series of setbacks for the Canadiens. Recently, forward Alex Newhook and defenseman Kaiden Guhle underwent surgeries, with Newhook facing a four-month recovery period following a procedure on his right ankle, and Guhle anticipating an eight to ten-week absence after surgery for a partially torn adductor muscle.
Dach, who has contributed five goals and two assists in 15 games this season, will be sorely missed during his recovery period.
