Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime suffered a 6-3, 6-4 defeat against American Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open on Wednesday night. Despite Auger-Aliassime’s 13-2 lead in aces, he committed 37 unforced errors, whereas Tiafoe, the 17th seed, only made 16 unforced errors, securing the win in one hour and 40 minutes.

In the third-round doubles match, Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski and Czech player Barbora Krejcikova were defeated 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 by the Czech pair of Linda Noskova and Marie Bouzkova. Dabrowski, a native of Ottawa, usually partners with Luisa Stefani, but Stefani has been sidelined due to an elbow injury in recent weeks.
