Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege that she engaged in fraudulent behavior by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors collectively put in around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” as per the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.

The investors claim they were promised that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in establishing the company as the head of marketing. They argue that Gomez and other company executives did not uphold their commitments, such as failing to create a mobile application.

The lawsuit states, “Gomez purportedly agreed to a contract to perform duties but neglected to do so.” The plaintiffs further allege that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to meet fundamental obligations like timely payment of employees and vendors.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments regarding the lawsuit. The legal action asserts that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until they were publicized in an online news report in September 2025. The investors are seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses.
