Police authorities in the Halifax region are currently conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Sunday evening in North Preston. The Nova Scotia RCMP responded to reports of gunshots near the Cain and Clarence streets intersection around 5 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Jayden Tynes, aged 28, who had sustained gunshot wounds. Tynes later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The integrated RCMP and Halifax Regional Police Major Crime Unit have taken charge of the investigation. Officials are urging individuals who may have witnessed the event or possess dashcam footage from the area between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on November 2 to come forward with any relevant information.
