Must read

Away from his on-stage persona, Auzzy Blood, real name Austin Punton, looks quite different. Although many photos on the act’s Instagram page show him modelling a similar look for other performances, some from his life off-screen show him without the makeup.

They include content from various trips away with his partner, Dottie Dellamorte, also known as The Paleen Chantress.

The pair often post videos together with their most recent showcasing them unveiling their natural looks.

Captioning the video: “I need a taste of you to satisfy the Devil in Me”, they were both seen kissing before transforming themselves into their stage looks.

Fans took to the comment section to praise the pair’s creativity and makeup, with one saying: “I adore you both” while another commented: “What a beautiful couple” as a third chimed: “The tattoos are [fire emoji]”.

Viewers were horrified by Auzzy Blood’s audition during the launch of Britain’s Got Talent ‘s new series back in february.

The sword swallower – whose real name is Austin Punton – performed a series of tricks that left some viewers feeling uncomfortable. It included him putting a hook up his nose and through his mouth in one part of the audition. The act has since been the subject of complaints to Ofcom.

Auzzy – who’s appeared on TV before, having previously auditioned for America’s Got Talent – was voted through to the next round of the competition by three of the judges on the ITV show though. Simon Cowell said that it was one of his “favourite” acts from that day’s auditions in his feedback.

For the recent audition on BGT, Auzzy sported face paint and makeup, including included highlights of red around his eyes and on his forehead. He was also seen sporting black lipstick as part of his character for the long-running show.

Auzzy had showcased his look for the audition in a photos on the platform ahead of the episode airing on Saturday night. Alongside the teaser photos, he wrote: “Guess what my freaky friends? This Saturday you can tune into @bgt to see my freaky face horrify & captivate the judges.” He then added in the caption: “You won’t wanna miss this one, I think I finally won over [Simon] with this performance.”

Just days later, ITV viewers watched Auzzy audition on the launch episode of BGT’s new series. Alesha Dixon pressed her red buzzer during the audition, but the other three judges were more impressed and sent him through anyway. Alesha said: “I can’t watch this act but I appreciate how good you are.” She later added: “I’m on the fence with you.”

Simon however said: “No one’s ever seen this before. This was one of my favourite acts of the day, genuinely.” Whilst Bruno Tonioli commented: “It’s almost like watching a new art form.” And, providing the final vote in his favour, Amanda Holden said: “For me, it was horrifically brilliant.” She went on to tease: “I am gonna say because I’m terrified to say no.”

The new series of Britain’s Got Talent continues on ITV, ITVX, STV and STV Player on Saturday night from 7pm.
